With 25 years of professional experience, Nic Bottero is a seasoned New York City Luxury Real Estate Associate Broker and Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. Prior to joining the company, Nic was a founding member of Christie’s International Real Estate, following a significant eight-year career at Brown Harris Stevens. Before BHS, he served as sole Executive Vice President of one of Manhattan’s most successful boutique real estate firms on the Upper East Side.
Through diligence, talent, and hard work, Nic has successfully represented trophy penthouse and townhouse sales, cooperative and condominium apartments, and distinguished lofts across New York City’s luxury market, as well as new developments in West Chelsea — further cementing his standing as a top NYC broker with the complete sellout of all 16 luxury penthouse residences at The Ritz-Carlton NY, NoMad, setting record numbers.
Properly pricing and strategically marketing exclusives is paramount to satisfying his clients’ needs. Establishing confidence, artfully negotiating, and providing guidance throughout the entire process is why so much of Nic’s business is referral-based. His relaxed, veteran style is just one part of what makes him exceptional at working with the most demanding and discerning clients. Nic brings an agile and creative mind to every transaction — noted as a quick study, particularly when it comes to improving floor plans, understanding spatial relationships, and knowing how to make a property show and flow at its best. That same fluid creativity makes him a gifted problem solver, able to work efficiently through complicated deals and carry them through to closing.
Upon joining Brown Harris Stevens, Nic teamed up with Erin Boisson Aries. Now together at Douglas Elliman, they offer clients an expanded range of service and expertise — having ranked #2 in NYC on the Wall Street Journal’s list of Top Manhattan Agents, and earning recognition as #1 Producer and Highest Earner in residential development.
When not working, Nic enjoys travel, culinary exploration, and winemaking. Born and raised in Manhattan on Central Park West, he studied in New York and graduated from Skidmore College.
